Aegon, the UK’s largest platform provider for pensions, savings, and investment products, embarked on a relocation journey to revitalise its Peterborough office space.
To foster a refreshed and dynamic work environment, Aegon sought a new, larger space that would accommodate their evolving needs while providing amenities conducive to both productivity and employee well-being.
The Aegon team envisioned a workspace that would facilitate various work modes, from focused individual tasks to collaborative endeavours, while also serving as a welcoming environment for client engagement activities.
The Brief
The team was tasked with creating Aegon’s new workspace, crafting a flexible, Scandinavian-inspired environment that enhances productivity, comfort, and collaboration.
The design features a variety of agile workspaces, including touchdown zones for focused work, quiet areas, and adaptable meeting pods suited to both planned and impromptu discussions. To support concentrated work and privacy, the space also includes focus booths and private offices.
A central highlight is the client-experience lounge, thoughtfully designed for informal interactions and creative brainstorming. Complete with a large touch screen, agile furniture, and soundproof bookable rooms, it provides an inviting and adaptable space for seamless client and team engagement.
The Solution
The layout supports diverse work styles with agile spaces for focused tasks, quiet zones, and versatile meeting pods, enhancing collaboration and concentration allowing employees to choose where and how they work.
Central to the design is the client-experience lounge, a space built for casual interactions and creative brainstorming, featuring agile furniture, a large touch screen, and soundproof rooms for added privacy.
The result is a workspace that not only elevates employee well-being and productivity but also aligns seamlessly with Aegon’s brand identity and values.
